Financial Benefits:
The Honjo International Scholarship in Japan is fully funded and covers the following:
- ¥230,000 per month for a 1-2 year degree
- ¥210,000 per month for a 3-year degree
- ¥180,000 per month for a 4-5 year degree
This stipend is intended to cover all your living expenses while studying in Japan.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Honjo International Scholarship 2026/27, you must:
- Not hold Japanese citizenship.
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll in a graduate program in Japan starting September or October 2026.
- Not be over 35 years old if applying for a PhD, or over 30 years old if applying for a Master’s.
- Have a strong desire to contribute to your home country.
- Understand and speak Japanese, as interviews will be conducted in Japanese.
