Established in Taiwan in 1954, Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) is a private institution located in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung. The scholarship is fully funded and available for international students pursuing undergraduate/bachelor, master’s (M Phill/ MS), and doctoral (Ph.D.) degree courses.

Eligibility Criteria for KMU Taiwan

• Applicants must be an International Student from any country other than Taiwan.
• Applicants must be healthy both physically and mentally.
• Applicants may not be recipients of any other scholarships at the same time.
• Applicants should fill out the application form correctly, honestly, completely, and submit application materials as required by the university.
• Applicants with a high school degree are eligible to apply for Bachelors’s Degree programs.
• Applicants with an undergraduate/bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for Master’s Degree programs.
• Applicants with a master’s degree are eligible to apply for Ph.D./Doctoral Degree programs.

Scholarship Details

Applicants who are interested in KMU International Student Scholarship should apply it while simultaneously fulfilling the online application form. Every type of stipend includes a different allowance as below:

• Type A: One-year tuition waived, NTD 10,000 stipend per month, and dormitory/housing accommodation coverage.
• Type B: One-year tuition waived and dormitory/housing accommodation coverage.
• Type C: One-year tuition waived.

Undergraduate students can only apply for Type C, Master’s students can apply for Type B and Type C, Ph.D. students can apply for all types of scholarship. Failure to follow the instructions above may affect the result of the application

2. The Highest Degree Diploma is verified with official stamps.
3. The highest degree Transcript
4. Two recommendation letters
5. Passport
6. Study plan: The study plan can be written in English or Chinese.
7. English Proficiency Certificate: If the previous degree is all English-taught courses, applicants may ask the university/department/advisor to issue the official statement that ” the medium of instruction is English at this institute.”
8. Academic thesis or relevant publications (for Ph.D. program applicants).
