Mastercard Foundation BRIDGE-in Agriculture Training program for African Students

BRIDGE-in Agriculture partners with business development service (BDS) providers to offer free targeted training and technical support to agribusinesses. It also aims to train youth and women and equip them with skills to secure dignified and fulfilling employment. This training program is open to SMEs operating in the agriculture and adjacent sectors and youth between 18-35 years, who are seeking to start a business or gain fulfilling employment.

  • Loan Program: Access to affordable loans at single-digit interest rates through partnerships with commercial banks.
  • Training and Development: Free targeted training and technical support in collaboration with business development service providers.
  • Grant Opportunities: Eligible participants may qualify for grants up to GHS 27,500 to foster business growth.

Requirements for Mastercard Foundation BRIDGE-in Agriculture Training program Qualification

The eligibility criteria include:

  • SMEs involved in primary agriculture, agro-processing, agricultural input supply, or agri-technology.
  • Businesses within the agricultural value chain, including restaurants and agricultural R&D entities.
  • Youth between 18–35 years old and SMEs in agriculture or adjacent sectors.
